Georgia Acosta
State Assembly, 30th District
Party Preference: Republican
Occupation: Agriculture Business Owner / Taxpayer Rep       Age: 45

My name is Georgia Acosta and I’m your State Assembly candidate.

I am not a professional politician.  Like you, I work hard, pay taxes,  and provide for my family. As a Mother of three children, I realize that having equal access to a great education should always be our top priority.  I served as Chair of the Pacific Coast Charter School in Watsonville.  Being an involved parent, I quickly realized that approximately 50% of California’s budget goes to Education.

I will fully fund quality educational programs that have a proven track record of success for our kids. Traditional, charter and career vocational schools hold the keys to an overall community solution.

Agriculture is also an important way of life for us. I was born in Gilroy, raised in Morgan Hill and have lived in Watsonville with my Husband Ed for over 25 years. During all this time, the business of agriculture has been central to the local economy, good jobs, and our lives. I will be your California champion for preserving and improving this vital local industry.

Every election year, we get the same politicians over and over again. You know these politicians.  Once elected to office, they take care of themselves, their relatives, and the Special Interests that donate big money. “We The People” are often left alone to beg for help that  seldom materializes. Let’s fix this by voting for Georgia Acosta!
