John Leopold
County Supervisor, 1st District

Occupation: Santa Cruz County Supervisor                                   Age: 50

As your Supervisor, I have fought to accomplish our shared goals for the success of our community.

When out-of-area vacation rental owners attempted to turn our neighborhoods into an endless row of hotels, we drafted sensible legislation that has proven effective and brought in millions of dollars to pay for critical services.

Together, we fought for regulations that make our county the first to ban fracking in the State of California.

We rallied to secure funding for the Heart of Soquel Park and a Boys & Girls Club in Live Oak.

And when the flight paths changed causing severe noise pollution, we forced the FAA to come to the table to address the concerns of our community.

In these times, we must continue to work together to create an economic development strategy that provides good jobs and a stable tax base.  We have to ensure access to critical medical services. We need to join together and fight to protect our neighbors in mobile home parks from out-of-town speculators and provide resources for our most vulnerable families.

No one will outwork me. No one will listen more attentively. Send me your ideas: john@friendsofjohnleopold.com.

On June 7th, I ask for your vote.
