Bill Smallman
For San Lorenzo Valley Water District Director

Occupation: Civil Engineer                                                                            Age: 57

I’ve been Estimator, Project Manager, Superintendent, and/or Project Engineer for numerous large water and wastewater infrastructure improvement projects for over 27 years.  I have many relationships and built knowledge of many water agencies which will be extremely helpful improving and maintaining our District.

My lifelong passion is to become an environmental leader. Our paradise is also our watershed, and I would be honored to continue and expand on the great work of Betsy Herbert and Jen Michelsen to preserve it with a sustainable and affordable water supply.

I successfully won a court battle with the State to allow me take the Professional Engineer exam.  My license number is C77329.

I’ve developed extensive plans to solve water issues Countywide by producing and storing over 10 billion gallons of water every year without using desalination and by environmentally beneficial means.

I served two volatile terms with the Lompico County Water District and helped them with the only realistic solution- merging with SLVWD.

I’m an expert on cost, and know how to develop a model for the upkeep and maintenance of water systems.  This is a required tool to be able to provide quality water service at affordable pricing. www.billsmallman.com.
